YOKOSUKA, JAPAN -- If you're hurtling along the road towards a stationary car it's a pretty good idea to hit the brakes ... but in this car you don't have to. The car is fitted with a prototype safety system developed by Nissan that helps avoid rear end collisions.

Well japan is pretty big on technology, you usually see advances anywhere but japan? that's BS. Also, these autonomous cars RUIN driving, You can't enjoy driving at all with that shit. Also, it's gonna be pretty hard to make that, and make it safe. If the computer on the technology crashes and you're going down a hill with others in front, then what happens? I personally don't think it will catch on, people will be too scared to use it. For everyone to use it everyone will have to agree with it.

And Google’s autonomous cars put this to shame, this is kind of underwhelming considering the kind of work I have seen being done in fully self driving cars. That kind of technology is no more than seven years away and will become a big future industry. I don’t understand why people think Japan is making all theses technological leaps; i usually see advances anywhere but Japan.

Does it also brake if there's a lawyer in front of it?
