Standing in the heart of Indianapolis, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church witnesses hundreds of thousands of visitors pass by every year. However, very few of them actually enter the church itself.
In response, the pastor, Fr. Rick Nagel, simply asked "what if we open the doors?"

It was a big mistake to start locking the doors of Catholic churches. I hope this becomes a trend very soon all over this country!

I have been to this church for Mass. I come during GenCon (a gaming convention held in August). I would come in more during the convention if I knew the doors were unlocked. I love that you are doing this.
