With the upper sections of Kevin's large kinetic sculpture Diamante nearly complete, he adds some finishing touches to the base. He shows how he sets, tacks, then welds on the feet, then stands up Diamante and gives her a spin.

  • You oughta see it in person. You move the two diamonds around in so many different conformations .... Can't wait to get it sandblasted and get the patina on it.

As for the barking, some trick, huh! I gotta talk to my lovely assistant about that ...

  • Kevin,

Very nice. Is that bad boy supposed to rotate in the wind? It appears to take a bit of effort to get the two diamonds to rotate. It's a stunning piece. Let us know the weight. I'm guessing 750 pounds.

  • Freakin' AWESOME piece!

Is it supposed to bark though? :-)

  • Thanks Chuck.

It has been a fun piece to build. Now it's off to the sandblaster and put a finish on her. Then on to the next piece..

  • Sweeeet!

    Great Job Kevin!!!
