For all of y'all calling Marlo smart must not have actually watch the seasons unfold *SMH* If anything Marlo was the lucky one. Remember how the Barksdale crew got hit Avon got locked up they lost their product. That allowed Marlo to take over the corners. No one knew him but when his name rang out he was marked. They had him dead at the end of this season. But we all know how it played out.

@ANCIENTMYS: We don't know if dumping bodies in the vacants was Marlo's idea. From what I saw the show, Chris was the chief tactician in the Stansfield crew...so it's perfectly plausible to suggest that it could very well have been his idea.

If Marlo was so smart, why didn't he do his research before he tried to go after Omar the first time? Chris and him came up with the "brilliant" idea of framing him for a murder, so he could be dealt with by someone he stole from in jail. The problem was that they had no idea that Omar didn't put his gun on citizens.......everyone in the street knew that except for them. As a result, they put him in a position to take heir entire package, thus robbing them blind.

SMH Stringer was retarded, all he did with that long ass unneccessary speech was make the Barksdale crew look weak as hell. As soon as Stringer left, Marlo told Chris to get everybody ready for war

Stringer says, that Mercedes out there you got it titled in you aunt's name? Marlo doesn't say shit,just ice grills. LOL. Then he tells Chris to tool up. Marlo wasn't taking any chances. You can't say the dude wasn't smart but you can say Stringer and Prop Joe were uncharacteristically stupid for putting Marlo down with them in the first place. They could have just wholesaled to him and kept him out of the inner circle. Letting him in was the worst move the Co-op did.

@dickum33 LOL true but keep in mind Marlo is only 23. Avon is suppose to be in his early to mid 30's and he still wants to go to war over corners instead of wholesale. Marlo had the idea to throw the bodies in the vacant while Avon would have just left them on the street and brought the cops calling. Marlo trained his team were as Avon had rag tag "soldiers". If Marlo was Avon's age he would have been 1000x smarter then Avon. Without Stringer Avon might have died awhile back.
