Stop playing Halo, though ironically, I bet I play it more than you :P But at least I know that Spartan Mark armor isn't something real LOL! Japanese are very primitive in military or any such related technology. They feed off of old American and Soviet technology.
You know how you cure paralysis? Repair the nerves. However, medical technology is apparently to backwards to be able to do that.

yay! I was in a wheelchair for almost two months of my life after an injury. It almost drove me nuts. I was lucky to get out with rehabilitation. I am so happy to see people so badly affected by immobility get any help they can. :)

Absolutely Fantastic!!
This sort of thing will lead to motorized versions with sophisticated gyroscopes in them like with the 'Segway' 2 wheel transports. combine this with a computer control that allows them to 'lean forward' (like in the Segway) & they could WALK !
Absolutely Fantastic and as ever it takes someone who has to LIVE with a disability to think latterally & show it CAN BE DONE!
If we can build weapons of mass destruction & technology undreamed of... we can help the disabled walk!
Excellent invention - cheap & effective. With advances in cutting edge technology, people will soon have robotic limbs & exo-skeletons that carry the whole body - the persons thoughts will control the device. Hypnosis & training allows the patient to 'feel' artificial limbs (as shown in a recent Youtube scientific video). In the distant future (beyond our lifetimes), people will be able to genuinely feel the limb (not just a 'trick' of the mind) with information sent to the brain via sensors.

The Japanese already have such a suit being tested - do a search on Youtube.. It increases a persons strength by many times and can allow a fully paralysed person to walk (only the slightest pressure on a controller inputs directions). Eventually being paralysed or an amputee will be no major worry, or rather the standard of living will be improved vastly. In the distant future we will have cybernetic modifications that are actually desireable and commonplace!
