At the end after Bert left to go lie down, and if Ernie wanted to do something exciting, maybe he should have chosen to play with rubber duckie for himself even though Bert probably doesn't care to play with rubber duckie since Ernie loves rubber duckie to play with the most and Bert loves to play with paper clips, bottlecaps, and pigeons the most.
