The RaboDirect PRO12, rugby's premier professional club competition in Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales, was today formally launched at a Media Conference in Dublin's Conrad Hotel.

RaboDirect is the title sponsor of the RaboDirect PRO12, one of the most exciting rugby championships in Europe!

You can rest assured that we're taking our responsibilities very seriously. It's not about just putting our name on a few pitch hoardings and taking a back seat (in a swanky corporate box).

We'll be pulling out all the stops to match the commitment you see on the pitch. We want to bring fans closer to their sport, support grass roots and local communities and we're here to stay - committed to investing in all levels of the game for the next four years! That's what we mean by 'Rugby just got more Direct'.

  • @illusion1user so your saying the smallest country in the league should have more teams than everyone else. is that good for the other teams in the league how can the welsh teams compete whit the likes of leinster and ulster in a few years if there players are split up in to more teams what if italy brought in 2 more crap teams into the league they would probably lower the standard to benefit themselves not good in my opinion and they actually want to do this fuckers.

  • @bolgert911 The USA is in the process of setting up a pro league. Wales need an additional team in the North. It can have more than four but needs imported players. This is the key. There are plenty to get considering teams at RWC 2011 like Fiji, Namibia, Canada, Tonga, Samoa, USA, Argentina and Georgia are 100% amateur at home.

  • i think its about time the usa and canada enter one professional team each in to the rabodirect pro12 and for wales to drop one of there's to strengthen the other three welsh teams i also think it would be a good idea if argentina and japan had at least one pro team playing it the super 15 if the irb did this i think it would be great for world rugby.ohh and maybe even a island team form fiji tonga and samoa i think that could be some bruiser of a team.

  • Munster FTW :-)
