Debunking Peta's mistruths about Oregon's animal testing facility.

USDA cleared Oregon of any mistreatment. It's facilities put animal welfare as a highest prirority.
http://blog.oregonlive.com/breakingnews/2007/12/federal_inspectors_clear_oreg...

PeTA showed footage of what appeared to be monkey cages being sprayed with monkeys in them.

In fact, the hoses are used to clean the pans below the cages, with the monkeys sitting happily on a shelf high above this. This is in full compliance with animal welfare laws.

  • OHSU discriminates against it's employees who have disabilities. Once you disclose your disabilities & ask for accommodation, they DEMAND that you give them access to your medical files, even though the policy states you only need to give them a letter from your provider. If you refuse, they threaten to send you to their doctors and threaten to deny your claim. Then they terminate you and lie about why. They talk about respect at the university, but that's all it is...TALK!!

  • What does that have to do with anything?

  • So if we don't show videos inside of labs then the research industry is accused of hiding things. If we do show videos we're accused of PR?

  • We do not need people like you reproducing to make more fucks that want to beat, strangle, stab, rape animals and then claim to do it all in the name of science. Tell me, as small children did you torture bugs and the need to move onto the next animal to hurt and kill made you think this is OKAY? Tell us, do you go home to grab your dogs and go fight them for extra cash or enjoyment? I really hope that you suffer like you have done these creatures I really do.

  • WHY did these videos of supposed we TAKE care of OUR animals only after they got busted? Got caught with your skirts up? Tell me how long did it take to build a nice cage and muddle through all those monkeys you fucking torture and do not say you don't, shocking a monkey to cause him to ejeculate? WTF let me do that to you men there... Oh, wait! That's right, you get a thrill having it done to you don't cha? Lying bastards. Why don't ya do those monkeys a favor and let them bite off your dicks?!

  • Goodness people. Have you ever stopped to think of the GOOD animal testing has brought to us? Lets not go be peta members, now.

You know that thing called allergies? Guess why they don't kill you? They've been tested on animals. Know that thing called medicine? How do we know you won't die from it? Animals. It's ILLEGAL to deliberatly abuse an animal, and you need to think of this: If an animal was abused and mistreated, not to mention SICK, what would the use of testin' on it be? What results?

  • It doesn't have to do with anything. It has to do with everything!!

  • This is absurdly fallacious reasoning. Imagine a parent is accused of abusing their child. By this reasoning, the parent could show a home video of the child at Christmas opening a present and say "does this child look like he's being abused to you?" Clearly, not every monkey is being sprayed with a high-pressure hose at every moment in every cage. All that has taken place here is a carefully staged PR stunt. Nice try.

  • how is this debunking what peta claims? one video means nothing. plus it could easily be staged.

  • I'm no Bible expert, but I believe the Bible explicitly states that animals are to be used for the benefit of man. There's also the whole issue of animal sacrifice and whatnot. ;)
