Part of the "Master Strategy Series", meant to expand the Odyssey² market share, this dungeon crawl featured a board game with tokens that you played along with.

  • Oh man I was 12 and my best friend Ronald McNeil and I would play this game for hours! We never used the game board or the tokens we just fought the monsters. I also recall a character who could walk through walls and another who could turn invisible. The walls shifted on some boards and were hot on others. I want my youth BACK!!!

  • it rage spams after each level!

  • this was so much cooler in my head. thinking back on it, i dont recall it being like this. we are spoiled and desensitized on graphics now.

  • THANK YOU for posting this.... Talk about childhood memories! This game was really fun... I remember playing this and KC munchkin all the time...

  • lol this game was awesome I also spent many hours playing this game and sea battle on intellivision

  • @limeaid1

The thief's official name was the "changeling". In some ways the most powerful character, although the hardest to master.

    I hate whining children.

Rubbish! This game was ace. You just needed to learn the tactics. The nightmares were the worst. And the infernoes, for me, because I loved playing as the phantom.

  • @EYEluvGAMES I loved this game too! Same here, my brothers and I never used the board or tokens either we just played the game. IMO this was probably the best game they ever make for this system. The cool box and art work in the book just got you into it.

  • Loved the odessay. Had hours of fun back in the early 80s. KC munckin was on of my favorites. Good memories.
