@Medvich Doesn't sound a thing like Porcupine Tree to me , not even Progressive. It's just some strange harmonies and multitracking , that's the only similarities i can make.
-
Well, the singer sounds a bit like Steven Wilson, and both bands make music that can be described as New Prog, at least in part.
-
It has also nothing to do with Porcupine Tree beyond being experimental, really

This song is beautiful.

I like Courtney's vocals. He's not a classical singer but quite expressive.
-
the fact that people compare Pure Reason Revolution to Porcupine Tree is a GREAT plus for this band in my book. I should dig them more.
-
Linkin Park. xD
I also hear the Muse reference a lot but I don't get it at all.
-
They should take the first 30 seconds and make a song like that. I don't really like the rest =p
-
I love it!

Don't even mention Linkin Park. This is like an electronic version of Porcupine Tree, it has nothing to do with Linkin Park whatsoever.

I love the metaphors for death in this song, and of course the music! So many layers, and they fit together so well.
I think it's about a man who commits suicide after the death of his lover. Her death leaves both of them like corpses, so he kills himself so their souls can rest in peace together :D
