2068 cm³ J8s-Turbo engine name.
In Europe this engine in the mid-80's was the best Diesel engine for those times.

@88SuperScorpion I would really like to know more about it. A few of the guys in the states estimate that there are fewer than 30 left in the states. I really want to fix it up to tip-top shape... Do you have any good resources on engine information?

@automan2164 Yes, i have the originals manuals for the complete disassembly and repairs. These are original manuals RENAULT.
You can download it from emule, just write "manuel reparation moteur j8s" only French language
For other explanation or any questions ask me :-D

@88SuperScorpion Thanks for the help! I currently have the Factory Service Manuals for the engine from Jeep on the way VIA eBay. The French ones wouldn't do me too much good. Are the Factory Renault manuals better than the Jeep ones?
