Albannach is Scots-Gaelic for "Scottish" or "Scotsman".
Albannach Frederick Maryland Celtic Festival My daughter danced with me at the Frederick Maryland Celtic Festival last year. THEY ROCK! When I heard them playing in the background, it was difficult to stand on a barrel and toss a frozen Haggis, but I did. I came in SECOND in the Haggis throwing contest behind the USA Champ Larry Brock. NOT BAD FOR A FIRST TIME! But I was distracted by ALBANNACH. We took some photos and video of my Princepessa dancing. Being Scottish and Irish, one day soon I hope to go to Ireland, Scotland and Wales to photograph the beauty that is there! If anyone wants to sponsor me to come to their country and photograph or video as a guest, I may be willing to go! Eireann go Brach! Cead mile failte romhat! Alba Gu Brath!

  • I wish there was such a thing as a "like" rating of 1-10. These boys play directly to my Scottish genes. Any American Renaissance Festival or Scottish fair who wants a Scottish band for their festivities should contract these braw fellas.

  • wife beaters and kilts men cant get any hawtter :-],

  • @RamsesIreland I'd have to disagree. Back when the English were still Pagans, they had a fascinating culture. They just lost most of it when they became Christians, whereas the Celts kept most of their Pagan spirit and customs. It is truly a shame the way England turned out though. I am very proud of my Anglo-Celtic heritage, mostly my Scottish heritage :) I even bought a kilt with the tartan for the clan that I am related to, which my last name comes from.

  • @carmen4298 - Yeah, that's why they call him a bullfrog :)

  • @RaisedAesSedai - The long haired "animal" isn't Aya...it's Jamesie. Aya is the one on the closest end playing the bodhran. But yes, Jamesie is an animal!

  • @sweetNANJA Oooh, i'm with you! Wish he'd be an animal with me.

I live in Scotland though and have saw these guys so i'm one step closer :P

  • Oh my god!!! It's so cool!!! I love it!

  • @sweetNANJA- long haired "animal" is Aya. He just gets so into it lol

  • You should go play Jazz Fest. It's very multi-cultural. I tried to share a link but youtube won't let me. Go to nola dot com and search Jazz Fest. :-)
