a performing songwriter with a sharp literary mind that often cuts to the bone of the human condition. Whether the subject matter is heartbreak or armed robbery, Olney's cinematic style and fearless approach to lyric writing have won him a reputation as a kind of musical outlaw. Taped at Sergio Webb's house in Nashville TN

  • I saw David Onley a few years back at the Hardly, Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco--he was outstanding! Hearing several tracks on this new CD, One Tough Town, leaves me very impressed with the intensity of the music--plus it's great to hear this sergio guy do fine, fine work of the guitar.

  • Olney as Olney. About as good as it gets. See him live and change your life.
