  • Antonello,

Mena from facebook. A beautiful film, with a great poet. you captured the essence of the man and his words. The sounds of the birds in the background toward the end, was amazing! I felt the spirit of William passing! incredible piece. thank you for sharing with me.

  • Thanx a lot Mena!

  • Beautiful indeed. Here's to Uncle Bill.

  • Thanks for uploading!!

I saw him in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1998 or 99. He gave a reading in the well known Red Factory. NO ONE CAME!! Except me, another person, a drunk, his manager and someone from the Red Factory. After talking about Keith Haring for a while he decided to stop the show and go with us to the nearby restaurant. We ate spaghetti and he told us about Williams death. So detailed, so vivid, so indulging, so sweet, i doubt a camera can catch that.

I was so ashamed for Zurich...

  • @crgshell Around when did you meet him? (I'm not saying that you didn't I'm just curious.)

James Grauerholz claims in "A Man Within" that he softened somewhat in the final years of his life. I admire his work enourmously, as a writer myself, but he himself.. he had some major issues that harmed others. (Joan, Billy, et al) I was touched by his remorse in Last Words though. You can't fake that kind of repentance.

  • What an Obsequious sycophant!

I meet Burroughs an a number of occasions.

It's true he was a great artist, but he was also a nasty bitter old junkie!

  • True geniuses are never fully recognized. That is the beauty of it. Only people who can fully realize what true genius is, can appreciate one when they see/hear one. That is why Burroughs will forever be an enigma onto his self. But most of us who know what true genius is, can see. Thank you, William. A forever thank you.

  • This is brilliant! We really liked watching this film.

  • STUPID HIPPY SHIT !

  • This is your brain on drugs, lol.

  • Lovely. Thank you, John Giorno

  • Very interesting piece about his last time on Earth.
