@jelassiterII I didn't have a problem w/ his success & playing larger venues, because he was writing fun material. Growing up, I was a big fan, but I gradually moved on to other music. During the early-ish 90's (forget exactly when) I heard one of his then-recent albums that just didn't seem interesting. It felt like he was just "phoning in" some more songs. Storytelling (his great talent) felt mundane. I still enjoy earlier works, but that's when he lost me as a "current" artist.

Sme people just can't stand to see sombody do GREAT! I have loved Jimmy Buffett since 1974. He AIN'T sold out nothing but music and fun! BETTER ALL THE TIME!

@pgperdue yeah.. all he's sold out is countless venues. i slept on getting tickets for his local summer stop and now i'm kickin myself.

I'm from the Eastern Shore where Jimmy grew up. I liked him better before he sold out. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing though. I guess I just miss the days when Jimmy would show up in town and play a little dive when nobody was looking.

@jelassiterII some say "sold out".. others would say "hit it big".. i personally think that Jimmy has always been true to himself, his fans and his music. and to have a young and extremely talented Zac Brown celebrate his music just proves how good he was is and will continue to be.
