hey i have a problem with my pair. So its the 3rd day of my pair being in the spawning tank but they havent spawned yet.. well they tried to spawn for like an hour but then the female lost interest and just went to hiding again. idk wat to do anymore this is the 5th try breeding this one big turquoise female plakat that i have with a really active and well bred mle that i have. the nest is like 3/4 full. im using a styro foam cup like urs too and i conditioned them for at least a week already.

@SPenycat can you please tell me your exact way of breeding. im doing it wrong. i am just putting them together and let them do there thing. i got ike 1 batch of 6 survivors. i sold them and have some money now. just to my friends though because im only 13 lol. i have bred guppies TONS. but thats way different i think. so please help

not as many as I'd like, but for a first spawn, not surprising...about 15-20
