Hello. I pieced this together late at night. I set old film clips to a poem, which I wrote and recorded myself reading.

Tomorrow or another day soon, I will piece together video for the remaining portion of the audio (available in full at soundclick.com/nerBeater), the latter of which is an improvised monologue discussion about schizophrenia. This project is about me sharing what is my experience of schizophrenia, which has taken me on arduous paths for understanding my psyche and the nature of human minds in general. I hope someone finds value in this expression. This film is serious in scope and meant to be taken earnestly although in it I am being an honest artist with my recovery over my psychological illness and have come to accept the occasional laugh. Hopefully, you'll see the struggle I have faced in my opting for sanity and the silliness I must defend myself with.

I love youtube, and I hope to become good friends with those of you who appreciate this work and play and future work and play I contribute to youtube. (My friend with a camera will be helping me to film myself, as we and our friends make skits, vlogs, and wacky art.) Undoubtedly, I will appreciate your videos if you can appreciate mine. Mine are not meant for "the most general public", but mainly those willing and desiring to interact with the art, ideas, suffering, and liberation of the cute, valiant, and extremely raw human self that offers fields of experience into and from which I intend fully to dive and to spelunk.

All the clips in my film are either photographs of myself or computer graphics drawn by myself, and the majority of clips are taken from the following three Creative Commons licenced films available at www.archive.org. I fully recommend to all youtubers to mine Creative Commons licenced material for all freedom is worth. It's much favourable to breaking the law OR boring people with the popular, too common songs or scenes we've all heard. There's a lot of ART SET FREE in this world. Look for it...

  • I love your poem...spot on!

@ the bit at 3.47 is the best moment of this flick....a Classic... Now get outdoors and be free !

  • Thanks!! Good advice!

  • schizos.. yes..hhmmm.. i wonder what it's like to be schizo.maybe in my dreams since im seeing things that in this reality make "no sense".. what if we were all schizos?.. different lifestyle.. different laws.. different findings.. different ways to percieve things.. different reality.. and the so called *normal ppl* would be the crazy ones.. or maybe they wouldnt be judged the way we judged schizos.. maybe there would be more acceptance and.. we all would be used to this so it would be NORMAL..

  • what may be more true is that our society is schizophrenogenic (schizophrenia- -generating). see my comment above this. That double(multiple) message I talk about, Gregory Bateson called a Double Bind. A double bind is a dilemma of sorts, when conflicting and contradicting messages and signals leave no appropriate response to be made. It is "You are bad, you have to do it right, you already did and will if you try again do it wrong", when even if you did it right, but they're in control.

  • now, as you are getting older, wherever the mixed messages came from, you are searching through your perceptions and feelings for the underlying message. Something deeper IS going on. You've caught on to the schizophrenogenic aspect that announces to certain individuals that everyone's crazy even if sane. We wouldn't be judged crazy if we didn't GO crazy. In sane moods and clear states of mind, the schizophrenic CAN have greater dynamic faculties of cognition and perception in certain areas

  • private message if you want to talk about it.

  • damn this is whack!

  • wow this is deep snap snap snap

  • ur a major fag

  • way or this way does never matter, so my authoritarian parents are crazy but that's how people act when they are normal, so I'm going to be sad until angry"

  • "Your mother doesn't like you to tuck in your napkin like that" I felt it was relevant in a curious way to what I was saying at that point, why I chose that take. The film is called Angry Boy, and it is about being treated weird/badly until turning out bad. silly thing to make a boy feel sad about, tucking in his napkin one way instead of another. it sends a double message: 1) You are wrong, and 2) you are bad, but the reality underlying that can also come across is "the napkin the other

  • ah... .. at 3.48 .. did it say "your mother didn't like you to tuck you into be like that" ?..
