  • @swilson3d decatur is right. Because the opponent is being passed they are lying down in the 50/50 you need to sit up to attack AND to defend therefore, the opponent is at serious disadvantage. There's very little time to react. Watch Ryan Hall vs. Rodrigo Ranieri from grapplersquest world series to see what I mean about sitting up.

  • This is really sophisticated starting with a less than orthodox guard pass and then assuming that the opponent anticipates the knee guard, which is becoming increasingly likely. Good stuff!

  • It looks neutral but its really not if you are the one sitting up...

  • Keeps saying it's a great transition so I'm thinking he's heard this before. And it's hard to argue with results, I know Hall has had great success in this position but it seems like this is alot of effort to get to a neutralish position from a top position.
