ICE »Vortex2« Liege-Dreirad im Praxistest

Vortex - Wirbel oder wirbelnde Bewegung - ist auch ein Tempoversprechen. Hier rotieren zwar die Beine ganz ordentlich und bringen kräftig Vorschub. Der Rest bleibt aber sehr entspannt, weil das Trike trotz Tempo Kräfte schont und der bequeme Sitz und die variable Geometrie sich an die persönlichen Vorlieben anpassen lassen. Den Bremsen kann man beruhigt vertrauen. So ist das ICE Vortex ein echt edles Trike für ausgedehnte Touren mit hohem Tempopotential.

This one looks fun and fabulous. Nice clean video too (no music, thank god!)

The deal-breaker here is the E 3900 price, which of course reflects the quality of materials and construction. I would say, however, that with Japanese manufacturing techniques and cost-controlled mass production these units could be produced for under US$ 1000.

This is probably what the Chinese bike builders are thinking, and Giant (among other manufacturers) is liable to have a rude shock when it comes to pass.
