By the time the Robert Dollar #3 has come back to check up on it once again, it was perfect timing. As they pull into Sunol, the auxiliary tending begins to overflow.

I fired this engine yesterday. I'm now a member out there and yesterday, Saturday was my first day. We fired up the 3 for a shakedown run. All went well.

Ah very cool man! How difficult was it getting your foot in the door to be able to do that?

well, with all of my steam experience from BJWRR and just all of my knowledge, I asked while we were running around the train in Niles if I could fire a bit and the engineer said sure, pointed out a few things and I was on my own for a good 10 mins or so. Emphasis on turning wrenches before anything else out there tho.
