@krogermanful Thank you for your input! I wasn't sure what "sahan" exactly meant, so I translated it as in the dictionary, with "dish." As for "aman," I'm afraid I have to disagree with you; that word is an expletive current in various Balkan languages, very hard to translate exactly. In the text of the song it cannot mean "hilf mir" because BOTH Fata and Halil use it (e.g., Halil: "Aj, jeste bio, Mehagince mlada...") and it would make little sense for Halil to ask Fata to help.

One correction: "...he broke all my glasse and my dishes..."
And "aman," which I translated here as "oh mercy!" is more of an expletive than a proper word. I don't know of any precise English equivalent, so I translated it literally.

...oh, and then he said--oh mercy--
whoever should ask for Meho (Mehmed),
they shouldn't go after him in vain.
He'll come home himself--oh mercy--
Whenever he'll be in the mood for it!
(NB: My translation is somewhat litteral and yet a bit unfaithful to the original; in the last line, I couldn't come up with anything better than "mood" for Bosnian "merak," a Turkish word which is very difficult to translate accurately).
