E - 2007 Large Balloon Finally Goes Up!

07.03.07 - Lexington, VA - This was a very large hot air balloon and it had a lot of trouble getting upright and then it kept rocking back and forth so much from the wind, I guess. It had a large basket with a lot of people in it. You see some of them running to get into the basket for take-off. When it finally went up, the crowd cheered and the people in the balloon---well, they seem to be pretty happy! :) My sister and I rode in a hot air balloon in Statesville, NC and what a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IT WAS! We will never forget it!

Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

(1) Why do we love flying high?

(2) Why some of us enjoy flying balloons and airship instead of jumbo jets?

(3) What is the enjoyment of sensations to fly in balloons that cannot be enjoyed by flying in aeroplane?

(4) If Flight Simulator has a "flying balloon" to pilot, will this be attractive to girls as well as elderly players?
