agreed. what a twit. she brings class into it. the smiths' appeal has nothing to do with class. its music for the geeks and weirdos of any class. she says she listened to hip hop as a kid. yeah, you had a lot in common with downtrodden black people from the america, did ya. fuck off!

  • My only problem with the Smiths is they weren't that good live.

Your impassioned plea regarding Morrissey's lyrics "breaking down the barriers of class and sexuality" is rather undermined by the outright misogyny you direct at Mary Anne Hobbs.

I also find her opinions ridiculous but calling her "that blonde cunt of a woman" is hideous. Frankly, I think Morrissey would find you, treid100182 & ChiliPeppz vile, and you'd all be better off listening to Guns and Roses.

  • "Getting down with your bad self" Maher is a genius

  • That pretentious blonde twunt doesn't even know The Smiths were a working class band.

  • I want to punch that blonde woman in the face.

  • @jbdean55 idk the smiphs is kind of abt growing up/ being lower class if u weren't aware abt that punk thing in post-punk lol

  • @jbdean55 morrisey listened to rap and dance music too, you do realize it was manchester in the 80s?

in the north of every country thats always happening although it sucks, rap and dance music

  • @jbdean55 I'm African Canadian and you hit the nail right on the head. I couldn't have said it any better myself. That was an excellent point. Man who is this woman? I've never seen her before she doesn't know what she's talking about. I listen to hip hop and I love the Smiths one of the best bands ever to do it.

  • @jbdean55 Bringing Social class into music is lame.
