Nails existed during the Roman Empire. This is a simple archeological fact. The nails used to nail Yeshua to His cross were found in the Ciphas tomb in Israel. Do some research with that "science" before posting ignorant theories next time. Thanks.

In addition to the satire exception, public figures get a different standard - reckless disregard for the truth. In other words, if it isn't satire, you still have to be saying things that you know are likely untrue. As long as you are talking about public figures (like GWB or Falwell) its difficult to commit a defamation that will satisfy the legal criteria for a lawsuit. For public figures, the only compensation they can count on is their capacity to set the record straight.

Wouldn't it be libel if its published in a periodical? Not that there's anything wrong with the basic thrust of what you were saying, but slander is transient, whereas libel is published, like in Hustler. :)

See, even humor evolves. Good thing too 'cause I love satire.

That's my theory as well. Also, nailing someone up for crucifiction (as opposed to using ropes) was used for extreme cases.
The Roman Empire did use nails in an extreme minority of executions but I cannot find the details in that. The crucifiction nails were also closer to rail road spikes, some being barbed for a better hold.
Carpentry of the time mainly used wooden pegs tightly fitting in drilled holes in place of where nails were needed.
I started to rant. I will end it here.

Man I have missed allot of your videos. I rely on the stupid Subscription thing on the front page. I wish there was a better way to keep up with all your subs because I don't want to click on the see all subs link and have to deal with everything at once, I just want an easy quick way to see what's new. Sorry Nadia, I will catch up over the next few days. Shit! YT, I can't rely on you for crap!

Maybe, they reused the nails.

Pretty educational. Thanks for that. So it makes me wonder though, would somebody on YouTube be able to sue someone if that someone called somebody a narrow minded prick if that narrow minded prick was insulting thousands of other people on youtube? Just checking the boundaries here, though it doesn't fall into humor, it does seem to fall into freedom of speech on both accounts...

Hahaha! But may Nadia be touched by His noodly appendages. She changed it after I posted that :-)
Well it's slander unless it's true... So your comment about GW is safe :p

That can't be the exact law or else Hustler would have lost its counter-suit. It's slander if it's not true but in the realm of believable.

Jerry Falwell and there ilk hate homosexuals but then they make it so that a women's naked body is viewed as disgusting and sinful.
Does that make any fucking sense?

Perhaps the truth is they hate all pro-fun sex. You should only do it when it feels like a chore. So says the church!
