Watching this makes me really sad. I miss my Mother who would have loved watching all of this on the technology of the internet. I'm also saddened at how far away I live now from Germany and can't get citizenship anymore. I love my German heritage and the German culture.

This is awesome. I wish I could do that, but I'm black.

@mrceebees14 I suggest you watch French "apache dancers", where a man beats the crap out of a woman!

Ich will diesen Tanz lernen. :-)

I'm also raised to be polite to elders , i think thats just a normal thing there should be no doubt about it =)
okay that with the accent is another thing my regional accent is nearly disappeared except the older people between 60-100 can speak it but except my great-grandmother and my grandpa (her son) I dont see anybody speaking it . Of course I understand a few words but within some years it'll be lost forever......how ever its sad but you cant change it anyway

@LT0WnWaRi0 I was shocked at how Americanized Germany has become, at least the west. And people wondered why my German was so "old fashioned". Well, I was raised to be polite, especially to elders. And if they don't like the Schwaebisch accent I learned, tough tittie. :)

@Germtalia Try North Dakota - nearly 50%! Many are Germans who had been living in the Russian Empire for several centuries (invited by Catherine the Great, who was a Prussian from Stettin). There are several North Dakota towns where German is still the first language. My mother is bilingual, my German has largely been forgotten. :(

@je25ff I'm a 10th generation American on my father's side, and they came to Virginia in the 1650s Hard to be much more than 10th, unless you are an Indian or a Viking! (You mean ancestors, not descendants.)

I love it! Memories of my Austrian grandparents... :)
Is there any website I could visit or any videos known that teaches one how to do this dance?

Hey, there are a few clubs around Australia where you can learn this style of dancing, if you google German dancing in each state you should find something :-)))
Cheers,
Dieter
