This documentary (in two parts) is based on the testimonies of parents and other relatives of Balmukund Bharti, a final year MBBS student at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, who committed suicide on 3rd March 2010.
Here they are describing how Balmukund, a very bright Dalit student, was forced to commit suicide due to the casteist prejudices of the faculty members of country's premier educational institution.
This documentary is not just about Balmukund but is an effort to sensitize concerned people about what happens with Dalit students, the kind of harrasment they have to suffer, in such elite educational institutions because of their caste backgrounds.
Watching this movie sent shudders down my spine. Moreover such an act happening in d most prestigious medical Institution of the Country, is a disgrace. The Professors n d students of Mukund& Jaspreet shud b taken 2 task immly.

What were other students doing when such comments were made in the class by the profs? Such a pitty that our country is full of mongrels who enjoy someone else getting dissed like this. Why is no action being taken against them? Their names should be made public. I'm also curious to know the status quo of Jaspreet Singh's case.

His father's reactions made me weep too. It's so sad that our own people are facing such atrocities even in this era. This is nothing short of a civil war. This is a sludge on the face of our country. Those AIIMS professor deserve to be punished severely for disgracing someone in public.

it is really a death of merit. such a meritorious and hardworking student who had got into AIIMS, coming from such a background is creditable.ask the professors who mentally harassed balmukund,if their kids were given such an environment as balmukund would they have made it to any college?Action should definetely be taken against such people .

Former health minister Mr. Andumani Ramadoss fought against these kind of discriminations in AIIMS. That was one of the reasons why the Brahman-centric, Brahman-controlled English media targeted him during his tenure. He should come again to correct these faults in AIIMS.

Try to help our community as much as possible, I had seen their quality """ Rubbish"", After all i will request all Dalits, Don't take such decisions, which ends your life. But its challange, start ur life. Be claver, Know the protection give to us by constitution or else. Aur jyada koi sir par chade, toh cause ko hi khatam kar do (interpret urself)
