What is their tech support like? Is it better than Apple/macbook pro? I'm really considering this since I'm a windows guy & I've never had problems with windows just computer performance because of outdated memory

@pitolove71 Yes, it is a small company so you get an expert on the phone instead of a call center. They can log into your computer and troubleshoot. I have used Apple in the past and they treat you like an ipod user instead of a commercial facility with a Mac Pro.

how well does this work on pro tools 9/10 setups? What OS does Rain operate on?

@greengiantonline Rain computers are certified to work with PT. They use Win 7 specifically tuned fro audio / video.

They are made in New Jersey. Apples are nice, but these computers are made specifically for DAW's with no bottle necks in the system. They are also tested with multiple interfaces and software for compatibility. Better to have a computer made for recording, than just a home computer that just so happen to be ok for recording. The biggest bonus is the tech support. One call to Rain no matter what the problem is. They do not try to pass the buck to the software makers.
