    When I usually get hollow macarons it's because the oven temperature too high.

    Mine was hollow because of two things. I used baking powder instead of cream of tartar. I should have used nothing instead. Also, I should have not beaten the egg white too much

    Thats what I'm having a problem with too! I made them 3 times today and each time they were hollow :(

    This is harder than it looks. If you under mix or over mix a lot of things go wrong and it's very easy to do so. Humidity also plays a factor as well as oven temp (some ovens are hotter than others).
