"Baroxism" - Interactive Installation (demo) by Kinotek & Lanvideosource

"This is the realm of baroque spectacle as theatre of the world: once invited beyond the proscenium, and beyond the frame, the frame perceptually disintegrates embroiling the viewer in a series of baroque folds that present the possibility of a limitless scope of vision. The outside becomes inside and the inside out.
The baroque phenomenon of border-crossing is best expressed by Deleuze:
If the Baroque establishes a total art or a unity of the arts, it does so first of all in extension, each art tending to be prolonged and even to be prolonged into the next art, which exceeds the one before. We have remarked that the Baroque often confines painting to retables, but it does so because the painting exceeds its frame and is realized in polychrome marble sculpture; and sculpture goes beyond itself by being achieved in architecture; and in turn, architecture discovers a frame in a façade, but the frame itself becomes detached from the inside, and establishes relations with the surroundings.
We witness the prodigious development of a continuity in the arts, in breadth or in extension: an interlocking of frames of which each is exceeded by a matter that moves through it".

Kinotek è un progetto di visual art fondato nel 2001 da Giovanni D'Aloia e Mattia Casalegno. Ha curato vj set, visuals per eventi, festival, club e prodotto live media performance e installazioni audiovideo.
Ha collaborato, tra gli altri, con l'artista Paolo Monti e il musicista elettronico Maurizio Martusciello.
E' stato resident vj in alcuni dei migliori club capitolini quali SupperClub, Goa ed Art Cafè ed ha partecipato a festival internazionali quali Cimatics a Brussels, Contact Europe e AVIT a Berlino, Optronica a Londra, RomaEuropa, Club to Club, Dissonanze, Ultra Beat Out, Muv, LPM in Italia.
Nel 2003 viene giudicato miglior vj ad Elettrowave 1° vj contest, dal 2003 è membro attivo della community vjcentral.it. Nel 2009 l'opera Sounds of Complexity è stata selezionata nel catalogo del Celeste Prize con l'opera livemedia "Sounds of Complexity".
Nel 2010 l'opera di videoarte "Baroxism", realizzata per il festival Carovana Barocca, viene proiettata sulla facciata del Comune di Salerno. Nel 2011 viene presentata alla community del Celeste Network l'installazione audiovisuale "Baroxism", che ora è disponibile per esposizioni, gallerie, eventi e curatori d'arte.
