@th3azscorpio There is no doubt that Walt Disney was one of the most distinguished animators and entertainers in history. The fact that as early as 1930s, extremely sophisticated and magnificent animated films such as Silly Synphony series(I like "Flowers and Trees" in particular) were released is surprising. What Disney created at the time overwhelmed us. No one all over the world is comparable to him. Hayao Miyazaki was born in 1941, so he may have been a little affected by Disney's works.

@MurphyColemanyou got it wrong, he is dubbed the walt disney of japanese animation because he is very walt disney like in terms of animation, art and storytelling. his films are like the japanese equivalent of snow white, little mermaid and aladdin. thats why people equate him to disney, he's never copied any disney works.
