Some 40 km out of the town of Narvik in Norway there is a lake which the Nazis used as a landing strip in the wintertime. One of their planes, a Junnkers Ju 52, now lies in the bottom of the lake. The most fun way to reach the wreck is by jumping into a crystal clear river leading to the lake, and drifting down.

  • Wow I wish I could dive there

  • How deep is it?

  • Super!

  • @Vornaskotti Mmk, Cheers! Please go diving more often. :P

  • @GtForLife123 No enemy here and yes, I started the conversation a bit more aggressively than was perhaps needed. You just poked at a sore spot, which is destroying historical artifacts. Should've taken a couple of calming breaths before replying :)

  • @Vornaskotti And that's the position you're in, if I understand correctly. I'm not trying to go searching for enemies. I've got too much to think about already, and I don't want another thing to think about. -.-

  • @GtForLife123 That sort of raging isn't something any thinking person should condone. If anything, seeing artifacts from the wartime make you remember that not two generations ago people were killing each other over several continents in abandon. If there is rage over that, the lowest form it can be brought out is fucking stuff (or people) up. The better way is to be bloody angry that things got to that shape, and do you best to prevent it happening again.

  • @Vornaskotti

Raging, that's what happens when you want to destroy stuff. And yes, one of my grandmothers were running from the Japs, and the other was running from the Nazis. My grandfather was Polish, and etc. I go digging in my backyard and find U.S. Civil War bullets very often. Where can I go shell hunting, if you happen to know? Italy? :P
