It's only because they practice what they preach by bringing it to the streets and often some MA's are too overconfident and dont apply what they learn as much so they get can get owned.
But look at Kimbo Slice; an effective street fighter for sure, but gets owned when finally meeting up with true martial artists, not street fighter bums or paper tigers.
