Bravo Shicoff! They both are very good but consider Neil is 60 years old here and looks and sounds years younger he has always given his most, never held back and still has a solid strong top and dark middle voice. I heard him do a great performance in 1990 in Chicago of this and in fact every night out he was terrific he sang several Don Jose's then and again in 05' with Graves and a fine run in 03 at the met. so this was always a good role for a fine lyric spinto tenor who could really act.
