Live in South Korea (Sky Event)

In July/August 2008, Canadas Suddenly Dance Theatre toured to South Korea, featuring Two World Premieres by dance artists Jung ah Chung and David Ferguson.




SKY EVENT (13 mins) features the fluid kinetic pairing of Jung-ah Chung and Suddenly Dance Theatres co-founder and Artistic co-Director David Ferguson. New music commissioned for this work is by LAs Eclipse Quartet.

The Tour included performances in Seoul at the Korea World Dance Stars Festival 2008; in Busan at the Busan International Dance Festival, and in Kimhae in a special program called Sue Jin Kang with Friends.

The tour was produced by the Korean Government, International Performing Arts Project (IPAP), The City of Busan, The Korean Dance Association, and Suddenly Dance Theatre with support of The British Columbia Arts Council; The Capital Regional District Arts Development; The Canada Council for the Arts; and with the assistance of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
