I think the problem with circuit bending is people tend to go for quantity rather than quality. I'd rather have a keyboard with 2 really good bends that I could still play than an entire patch bay that I have to fiddle with for 10 minutes to find one usable sound. It's cool that you can mix and match your own settings and come up with your own bends with that kind of device, but the majority of sounds aren't usable. I don't see very many people making quality music with circuit bent stuff.
