@KristaWale13 She took a diuretic called furosemide which is designed to help weight loss. The Russian Federation gave her a one-year suspension so she's ineligible for the Olympics. Daiane dos Santos and Do Thi Ngan Thuong both tested postive for the same drug. Dos Santos was suspended for five months by the FIG and Do Thi Ngan Thuong was banned from competing in Beijing

@tedsler She received a one-year suspension from the Russian Gymnastics Federation for testing positive for furosemide. Andrei Rodionenko pointed out that Goryunova had admitted to taking TurboSlim. Because she received a suspension greater than six months from her federation, she's ineligible to participate at the next Olympics.
