A meditation on love and loss, Heart Like A Wheel is the closing track on Marrow's 2nd album "Sunshine Enema".

Originally written by Kate & Anna McGarrigle and made famous by Linda Ronstadt on her 1974 album of the same name.

Shot on location at Sweeties in San Francisco.

  • I like it! Very pretty song. I love the feel of having just one continuous camera shot through the whole video. Usually I'm not very into Marrow's stuff. Not that it's bad. I'm just not a huge fan of electronic/gothy/darkwave stuff. But I do like this song. Nice job!

  • of eye contact and what appears to be a real tear at the very end, it feels to me like the real thing. get her wasted and sloppy and you could have a singer who is unable to connect with or convey her pain. my only suggestion would be to add a musical bridge or interlude to break up the vocals more.

  • Feels like it lacks direction, maybe that's some clever device to make the song feel circular and wheel-like or something. Doesn't make me want to cry though.

  • a classy mix with strange undertones. i dig the vocal treatments. nicely done and well placed in the mix. i like the lyrical setup of the sinking ship and then her "only love" vocal finale is "drowning" in the verb. good one. if you listen close, that multi-delayed verb is actually shadowing her track nearly all the way through. if she slops up the vocal, perhaps the subtle and tasty vocal mix might not work as well as it does. judging from her writhing about , her avoidance ...
