Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller did,t get due credit for Hound Dog, Back in those day atlantic records owed the two song writes a lot of money and they parted ways over it. Tells you why most of the great artist died broke screwed out of their earned money.

You know what's so sad. The Co-Writer of this song was the late Jerry Lieber who along with Mike Stoller wrote some amazing early R & B Hits that a Who's Who of Rock Music Recorded. The Coasters, Drifters, Elvis, Big Mama Thornton amongst others. Sadly when they wrote this song, it was a Farewell Song to the Rise Of The British Invasion and The Fall of so many R & B Singers. A R & B Singer named Bessie Banks recorded this first way before the Moody Blues did.
Great vid and quality - thanks for posting.
