An idea (merging Mexico into the USA) which has very little support in either Mexico or the USA. The expense of absorbing that many new people into our country would be a massive burden on our economy, requiring greatly increased taxes and significant funds funneled away from projects here (roads, infrastructure, public works, etc) to upgrade (finance similar projects in) Mexico.
Ongoing protests like this will only fuel a further backlash against immigrants and immigration. In the period since last year's protest, we've already seen new legislation in Arizona and elsewhere to crack down on illegal immigrants along with increasing rhetoric against legal immigration.
what i dont understand is why most people that want illegals deported only want mexicans out when there other thpousands of other peopl here migrating from other counrys illgelay but mexicans always get nalmes for evryhting and yes i am paert mexican but also french italian and american and i suppurt the latino movement =]
funny it used to be 100,000 people at rallies and more..But they were dumb enough to fall for an idea that a few white people had along with mexican leaders and now most have been deported or afraid to show up and let the Governmnet see them and deport them later.Every year shows us the status of how many more we need to deport. And every year they willingly show up to let us know lol.
Racism is sad and solves nothing. Google "Megamerge Dissolution Solution" for the real solution to the U.S.-Mexico border problem, with justice and without racism.
