Great show,great find. I miss these old documentaries,they were truly fascinating and I can remember the excitement watching the documentaries of the mid seventies as a child..the Patterson film has stood the test of time and has been examined by over 50 expert teams since 67 and none have been able to prove it is fake. It is the genuine article.

that's from Art Bell's "Coast to Coast AM" show. Art is reknown for his hoaxes of aliens, area 51 workers, cities on the moon, a bolide that destroyed the moon then NASA replaced the moon with a projection, female ghosts that rape men, aliens spaceships following a comet that lead to a mass suicide etc etc. The bigfoot hunter was named "Bugs" and so was his "story"

There is no evidence in the fossil record that any great ape or hominid ever lived in the Americas. Gigantopithicus lived in China so it is totally irrelevant to any discussion of an American bigfoot. Bigfoot is a hoax--always has been. Of all these supposed ape men, the only one IMO that probably exists is the orang pendek in the Sumatra--and even that will turn out to be just a rare ape, if real. The idea an 8 ft animal exists here, but no one has ever found a carcass, is just ludicrous.

The Gigantopithecus is really only known by it's teeth and lower jaw bone and it's not really known if it indeed walked upright. It's a supposition. Most scientist think it walked on all fours.
