  • ATTENTION CARBS THAT LEAK GAS OUT THE OVERFLOW>>> My Baja 90 has the same carb as in this video and after I cleaned it, it would not stop leaking gas out the overflow. I assumed the float bowl level was off (as this is usually the cause) however after adjusting the float an insane number of times the bike would not stop leaking gas. I realized that the rubber tipped float needle EXPANDED from the carb cleaned I used. I baked it in my oven for 25 min at 300, it has never leaked a drop yet!

  • The black gasket on the float bowl on my Baja 90cc also expanded from the carb cleaner so it would not fit back into place, thats when I found out that baking black rubber gaskets in a kitchen over returns them to their origional size. Therefore I had nothing to lose by baking my leaky float needle which actually shrunk the black rubber tip on the end of it back to its origional size... I'M still amazed how good that worked and the bike still runs great.
