October 27, 2004 presentation by Robert I. Sutton for the Stanford Technology Ventures Program Educators Corner in the School of Engineering at Stanford University.

When trying to foster innovation within an organization, Stanford University Professor Bob Sutton feels that sometimes the best management is no management at all - one doesn't dig up a seed every week to see how it's growing. He also stresses that creativity means selling, and not just inventing, great products. In this classroom lecture recorded in October, 2004, Sutton touches upon the notion that marketing matters, no matter how genius the inspired idea or technology.
