High area/ 1.8 metre diameter rotor with high rpm / power capability mounted on a futurenergy pmg & my chassis . A 3 blade using same shape with 50% more area is used on a modified Bosch alternator, see website at bottom, It's little realized but twin bladed designs generally have higher tsr capability than the common 'danish' 3 bladed system, 20-30kw twin blade are in production & use now and work very well, like down wind Italian giai turbines, some have been in constant use for 15+ years, many twin bladers are in constant service in Holland also.

  • Yes some but only at very high rpm, when most turbines would have furled, for best outputs a good twin blade is very hard to beat though. My tri blade uses the same basic proven shape, but modified angles, they are very smooth and fast running awell. Dave.

  • So did you have any vibration problems (twin blades are supposed to cause problems due to the see-saw effect).
