Asus 901 (1.6ghz Atom, 1gb Ram, XP) running LucasArts Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast in 'power saving mode' (800mhz) so the result may be translated to the 900 or perhaps the 701. The game runs very smoothly with full detail (graphics mode set to 'high quality', all options on, 800x600 resolution).
In addition, the game is installed to a SanDisk Ultra II 2gb SD card.

  • lol I'd like to see gta sa on the 901... or even something more powerful... like WoW or flight simulator X or something...

  • There are a couple of posts on youtube of gta and WoW running on the 900/701. So I'd expect it's possible to run them. WoW seemed to chug though. The graphics unit in the 901 is only an integrated intel 845 so polygons are definitely not it's forte! It loves windows/videos though. The other problem with newer games like Flight Simulator X is the amount of disk space they consume. I believe FSX is close to 15gb. So you'd need to apply a HD mod or get a big SDHC/external drive.

  • Your kidding right? I'm gonna get one of these for a sub notebook for sure!

  • Nope, not kidding! I haven't found that much of a difference between the power saving modes when running games on the 901. The 901 is fine for running games that are about 5 years old.

  • what power mode did you have it on?

  • Power Saving Mode

  • how do you make it super preformance mode?

  • jesus help help !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Buffalo 32 GB SSD = $100 , mid-September :p

  • Too right! I have seen WoW on the 701 4g and 8g it seemed to drop a couple of frames... but the 901 has a much better graphics chip! if you upgraded to 2 gb ram it would also help because of the integrated graphics using the ram as video memory!
