I had a ride in my mates 5ltr one yesterday. Boy oh boy, I'm bloody well in love with the Jaguar XKR. It looks so much better than the Aston and is far more impressive. I've been in both and I know which I'd buy.

One thing bothers me me about designations on these cars like Jag and Audi. What is suppose to be the ultimate Jag, is it a XKR or a XKR-S, or will it be an XKR-SR. Make up you mind to those unsatisfied meatheads who don't know when to stop. For me, an Aston is still the star.

There is a full test on Autocar (number of May 28, 2008) and they are very happy about the car. The sound should be rather similar to the standard XKR (which is already great)

Actually not it is just a version of the XKR.
Also the standard XKR is supercharged and the engine is the same in terms of power

No same power but the speed is now up to 280km/h
