How we got about in the 1950,s as we did not have a car. The tandem had a Watsonian sidecar and was powered by a 49cc Power-pak engine on the rear wheel. Mum had a 32cc Cyclemaster engine in the back wheel of her cycle and changed it for a 49cc NSU Quickly moped with a seat on the back.
The pics were taken in Wales, Porthcall and Blackpool.

  • Thanks for sharing. I used to commute to work ( about three miles, to Ilford Essex ) on a Power Pak in 1968. Sold it with a broken carb after it was dropped, to a chap in Hull. Would love another.
