Euna Lee and Laura Ling were found guilty of "hostile acts" and illegal entry into the communist state.

The women, who were working for US media outlet Current TV, were arrested in March working on a story near the border between North Korea and China.

President Barack Obama said he is "deeply concerned" by the reports and White House spokesman Bill Burton said the US is "engaged through all possible channels" to secure the release of the journalists.

State Department spokesman Ian Kelly added: "We once again urge North Korea to grant the immediate release of the two American citizen journalists on humanitarian grounds."

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has also appealed for the two women's release saying the charges against them were baseless.

The official KCNA news agency said: "The trial confirmed the grave crime they committed against the Korean nation and their illegal border crossing as they had already been indicted and sentenced each of them to 12 years of reform through labour."

  • War is not an option, but well, who knows?

If it does not actually happen, you will never know. It's not like the US has so much to lose if it actually goes into war with North Korea ;)...

Iraq war is a good example, by waging war against North Korea, there will be more casualties and deaths(Which will please Zero Population freaks), and more money to the US military in a short period of time ;D

The only question is, does the US government want that or not right now? ;)

  • if you read what i said, i said war is not an option. im done with this

  • Hahahahaha was that a joke? economic and Military sanctions made by the UN? When was the last time the UN was ever useful?

And sorry ma boy, but like I said before, the United States really has no reason to attack or have anything to do with North Korea. Ever wondered why Iraq had been attacked so quickly when North Korea was just ignored? ;)

This is not a videogame, son, get back to reality.

  • however, military action is not an option, for if the US took any military action in dprk, they would bombard seoul with everything they have, leading to a war with the north and china, a war that we would almost certainly lose. the only way is to wait for the dprk to collapse, a process that can be enhanced through economic and military sanctions made through the UN

  • Sorry to ruin your fun there, my boy, but just being friendly with China doesn't change anything, especially in a time like this now, and the funnier thing is, America is no longer a leader of anything now. Financial Crisis literally destroyed so many of the American industries, the Obama administration is as incompetent as the Bush administration, and another war means the end of the U.S. Economy.

Did that teach you some? ;) and you don't need to double post, it will eventually show ;)

  • i think you need to brush up on your history. when kim il-sung invaded the south in 1950 (not the 60s) harry truman jumped to the souths defense

north korea has stronger ties to china than we do, so it is in our interest economically to see the end of the dprk

  • i think you need brush up on your history when kim il-sung invaded south korea in 1950 harry truman jumped to the souths defense

north korea is a stronger ally to china than the us is, so the end of the dprk would strengthen our relationship with the chinese, which need to be a top priority

  • rofl batshit insane? Just because you are uneducated in politics and history does not mean it is a batshit?

But maybe for a little sheeple like you, it should be perceived as a batshit, because your brain will not accept the truth as a truth anyway ;)

  • lmao are you that stupid? Never really good at history or politics, were you?

North Korea could attack South Korea in the 60's because Harry Truman didn't want anything to do with South Korea anymore. That only gave such a good chance to North Korea.

But now the Cold war is over, and if the US has nothing to gain from North Korea, then the US has no reason to attack it really. And North Korea is not so dumb to attack any country so easily now.

  • btw i looked at your channel and your batshit insane
