Makes the engineers nervous when people stand too close to the tracks. They don't want to have to stop to clean you off of their windshield.

It is really something to be standing near when one of those Acelas is coming. I wouldn't get any closer than the 6 or 8 feet away that I was, and on the otherside of a fence. The ground shakes just like in the old days when trains were heavier.
