Continuing my fixing faulty junk series, in this video I document my attempt to repair a broken Nintendo DS Lite I bought from ebay. In part 1 I inspect the console and diagnose the fault.

I bought this DS Lite for a grand total of £20 (that includes shipping). The sellers description was very vague but my aim is to have it repaired/refurbished and sold on for a small profit.

Thanks for watching! :)

  • i wouldnt replace the case by an aftermarket one if its good as looks on the camera, but its your call ;) Im about to receive a falty dsi, maybe a do a vid fixing it later if i can solve the problem

  • @Padoca85 I replace DS shells quite a lot and it makes them look brand new again :). I sell them as refurbished units and people generally pay a bit extra because of their minty fresh condition. Also, the Mario shell is pretty cool and I want to see how it looks :P

  • What does After Market mean?

  • @LarryBundyJr Aftermarket = non-factory parts, accessories and upgrades. Basically a third party unofficial replacement.

  • @52779able it's because the instruction book is pretty big

  • I never understood why the DS games come in such a big case considering the size of the game.

  • I used to fix at 5 a week of those ds lites. Glad I don't. The shells on a lazy day took about 1 hour 15 to replace and test. The shell replacement us quite easy but for many first timers they get frustrated.

  • that happens to mine

  • where's part 2? That's the part I NEED!

  • I am getting one on my b- day

  • Take a look at GAMETAG for DS. it keeps all your favourite games attached to the console even while you are playing it. excellent for traveling or small kids. no loose games that eventually end up lost.

  • i love watching this series keep making it

  • i hav the same flashlight
