@recoltezcequesemez Yes you have good points and i agree. I will admit that a big reason why I criticize it is because on some level I care about it. I have loved ones there and I feel sorry that they are stuck in such a backwards anti-intellectual hick town until they are old enough to leave. I have mature friends that live in that county too but they are more like metropolitan Pittsburghers. You are nothing but a product of your environment unless you grow out of it.

@ErisDulig I, too, like to make fun, but it's also pretty sad. So many people there have no idea how bad it really is because they've barely even VISITED anywhere else, let alone LIVED anywhere else. Then they procreate by their early 20s, and their kids are as oblivious as they are. I knew some good people who stayed there who just have no idea how much more interesting and happy their lives could be elsewhere. It's sad. But also good to laugh, to overcome the trauma of growing up there. :-/
